DigiTV 3.7 uses the HD version of DigiTV.

The executable is DigiTV-HD.exe

I have allowed for this name change in build 2.57 of DABDig.

However, at the time of writing this forum post ... I haven't released 2.57

In the meantime - you could rename DigiTV-HD.exe as DigiTV.exe (and change it in your start-up group as well) ... or drop me a note and I'll send you 2.57 if it is still not released.

Yep - I sent it.

For others - I have some non-Nebula pieces to finish off before I make a new general release. HOwever, given that people seem to be moving to 3.7 then I'll try to make a release next week-end.

Paul,

Thanks for the files.

The record timers work fine.

The listen function does not.

Any ideas?

Assuming things are at their default values in dabdig.ini - then - try setting:

TraceFlags=4

in dabdig.ini

and see what command is being issued.

It should be something like

c:\program files\nebula\digitv\digitv-hd.exe CHAN 2

(put traceflags back to 0 afterwards)

To be honest - I haven't tried it with 3.7 - so it is quite possible that Nebula have changed the mechanism that I was using.

Hi Paul,

Command line as follows;

"08/11/2006 22:36:10 - 2.57b11 - Wrong parameters: Usage-"<StreamType>" "<ChannelName>" "<ChannelAssignment>" "<ProgrammeName>" "<StartYear>" "<StartMonth>" "<StartDay>" "<StartHour>" "<StartMinute>" "<MinutesDuration>" ["<Description>" ["<Category>" ["<EpisodeName>"]]]

... Oh Yes - do not put the <> or [] signs in! The [] signs indicate optional parameter.

dabdig.vbe "mp2" "$ChannelName" "$ChannelID" "$ProgrammeName" $Timestart("%Y" "%m" "%d" "%H" "%M") "$Duration"

Can sometimes replace "mp2" with "mp3" to record smaller, lower quality files - check your recording program.

08/11/2006 22:36:15 - 2.57b11 - Also can sometimes replace "mp2" with "play" to listen rather than record

When recording from Satellite - ChannelName should be <TransponderId/ChannelId>

Ah - looks like a mistake by me.

I seem to have put in the name of the registry key holding the path - rather than the contents of the key !

I don't see how that has happened though.

While I try to work out how 2 different variables inside DABDig seem to have got confused ... can you check to see if the fundamental mechanism works by using a command window (start/run/cmd) to do the following:

cd \program files\nebula\digitv

DigiTV-HD.exe FULLSCREEN CHAN 7

(the above are on different lines)

Paul,

The command does not execute. It returns the following;

The system cannot find the path specified.

Digitv-HD is in the following directory on my system;

"C:\Program Files\Nebula\DigiTV\DigiTV-HD.exe"

OK Paul,

A small update. I clearly had a syntax issue with the command line.

Good news - I can launch digitv with;

DigiTV-HD.exe

also I can set the channel pretty reliably with

DigiTV-HD.exe CHAN 1

DigiTV-HD.exe CHAN 7 etc.

using the FULLSCREEN command is not so sucessful. Nebula launches fullscreen and tunes to the assigned channel however the dispay is a blank screen.

You can make the FULLSCREEN parameter disappear from the DABDig issued command line by setting:

NebulaDigiTVPlayWinStyle=1

in dabdig.ini

However, I am still confused about the registry key appearing in the command line.

Looks like I'll have to make you a special version with extra tracing in it to try to work out what has happened.
