I have just installed TwinhanDTV version 2.603. I have gone through the recommended ini file changes in the user guide but am getting the following error message when i try and call it from digiguide.

I have looked in Reg edit and there does not seem to be any reference to a path.

That is a bit of a pain!

Looks like they have been changing things again.

Please email me a registry dump from

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PC-TV

and

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PC-TV

plus your dabdig.ini and dabdig.txt

(I see that they call it a Beta on their download site)

I have just made a new version of DABDig that allows you to override the path - i.e. if you put a value into a new field in dabdig.ini then it is used rather than trying to read the registry (email me for a copy).

You could also create the key - but I suggest not doing that for now.

Is there a chance that the TwinHan software has not had a chance to set-up this key yet?

e.g. perhaps it is not set during installation but only on complete exit of all of the TwinHan software.

I have a vision plus USB Terrestial Digital box from Twinhand. I have the same error message and havnt a clue what to change in the ini file. can you help? thanks Fr Adrian

If my guess was right for the previous person who posted in this thread (I didn't get any more feedback) ... then try setting

VisionDTVPath

in dabdig.ini

YOu will see it described in the dabdig.htm with a sample setting to try.

If it doesn't work then send me your dabdig.ini and dabdig.txt

I am having similar probs. Is there anybody out there running twinhans latest drivers/software for a twinhan alpha.

I keep seing mention of twinhan but no mention of the alpha

Please send me your dabdig.ini, dabdig.txt and a registry dump (run REGEDIT32) - see a posting higher up for the registry key names to dump from.

Plus a description of the problem if it is not clear from the dabdig.txt

2 problems.

a) I did find what was wrong with DABDig 2.55b09 - the logic that it used to choose the path from the dabdig.ini file was not correct - and it could try to get it from the registry and fail if it was not there.

I have fixed this in the beta of 2.56 - which I can send to anyone having that problem.

b) In your case - the path is in the registry ...

but - as you can see it is under TwinhanDTV not WinDTV

so you should set in your dabdig.ini file

VISIONDTVKEYPREFIX=TwinhanDTV

There are a few other fields that you have to change in your VisionDTV section of the dabdig.ini for your 2.6 software.

See the config page checking the comments to see what should be in there for TwinHan 2.6 software. There around 5-10 fields to change.

If that feels like too much hard work then the good news is that for DABDig 2.56 (unreleased) I have changed the defaults so that it is probably correct for a Twinhan 2.6 installation ... send me a plain text email and I'll send the Beta back to you.
