hi - does anyone know how to view all dabdig markers you have set up in digiguide? I can seem them on a per day basis but i want a view that shows me all markers for that week, month or year that i have set up. Is this possible?

Also - is it possible to make digiguide programme up digitv timers as SOON as you select the marker to record rather than 10 minutes before the programme starts?

Type

:dabdigr or :dabdigl

into the Find box at the top of the DigiGuide screen (assuming that you have not set DigiGuide to only look in the Titles)

(also mentioned in this thread)

It is possible to ask DigiGuide to send the requests to DABDig a lot earlier - but whether or not it will work reliably depends on the device that DABDig is controlling.

What do you have?

Also - if you make it more than 24 hours then you will probably also miss any very late schedule changes that DigiGuide might have picked up.

Also - it makes DigiGuide work harder because it then looks forward through the listings every minute until it reaches the longest search interval of a marker.

I know that some people have it set to a few days and are not complaining.

hi - im using digitv with digiguide. Your :dabdigr thing worked a treat! I'll just leave it updating 10 minutes before if going much earlier leads to issues.

cheers,

Paul, firstly let me thank you - this product looks great - secondly, could you perhaps expand a little on sending requests earlier - ideally i would like to send requests 24/48 hrs before - what do i need to change.

also a little unsure as to why this makes digiguide work harder

cheers,

To change the default alert interval:

Edit/Edit marker Type Defaults/DABDigR

Alert

Click on Enable Alert

Change the interval from the default of 10 minutes

Click Off Enable Alert

Save it

The reason that this makes DigiGuide work harder is that it looks for new alerts to fire once a minute. It only scan the programmes that are in the alert interval ... so if it is 10 minutes then there are not many programmes to scan. If you make it 2 days then it will search all programmes for the next 2 days ... every minute.

If you don't have a lot of channels, or you have a fast machine then this won't matter.

There is no magic formula I can give you - so just try it out and see if you notice your machine running slower. If you don't then you should be ok. Make sure that you verify that it does not slow things down enough to affect a TV recording.
