Version 7 of the WinTV application from Hauppauge is not backwards compatible with earlier versions.

So - for experiment ... try:

usewintvpvr=1

WinTVPVRPath=C:\Program Files\WinTV\WinTV7

WinTVPVRCmd=WinTV7Rec.exe

WinTVPVRCmdOverride=-limit:$LS -c:$CA

WinTVPVRRecSwitchToWindow=

WinTVPVRLookup=1

WinTVPVRLookupDb=C:\Users\Public\WinTV\Channel Database\hcwChanDB_5.mdb

WinTVPVRAllowForceExit=0

Note:

WinTVPVRPath - Path to executable - without trailing "\".

Initiating live viewing is not supported at present because WinTV7.exe does not take a parameter to switch channels.

The channel number passed across maps to the WinTV7 preset number ... which might be nothing like you would expect.

By using the database lookup facility - it is only the channel NAME that has to match.

If the DG name does not match the broadcast name (e.g. BBC 1 v BBC ONE) then you can rename in DigiGuide or create a dabdig.map

An update to WinTV7 added support for a new parameter (prefix) which should provide some control over the name of the file.

To try this ... modify one of the above lines as follows

WinTVPVRCmdOverride=-prefix "$TN" -limit:$LS -c:$CA

(not sure if there should be a colon after prefix - but it was documented without one on the Hauppauge UK forum)
