I am using Digiguide->Dabdig->Webscheduler.

This setup records two consecutive same channel programs as two seperate files with part of the broadcast missing as it stops and restarts.

WS has an option to do merging but only with its own EPG.

Could Dabdig enable merging in WS?

Potentially in the future - but no way to do it at the moment.

This is because DABDig sees each recording request in complete isolation.

It does not keep a record of what requests have been made and what requests might be coming.

Plus - if you have left things at their various defaults then the request for the 2nd programme is not passed to DABDig until 10 minutes before it starts ... so it would be too late to combine with the already started recording in WebScheduler.
