When I set a recording from DigiGuide, DigiTV always starts recording maximised. I've changed a few settings but nothing changed. Is this normal?

OK - that looks entirely normal.

I don't really understand why DABDig is trying to run it again.

But it looks like it isn't causing extra harm.

If you find that it is causing a problem then setting RestartOnRecord to 0 will mean that DABDig won't even try to run it.

"C:\Program Files\Nebula\DigiTV\DigiTV-HD.exe" SLEEP

Paul Webster

Is your DigiTV started automatically when you login to Windows?

If it is - what does the Properties show for DigiTV executable in the Windows Startup group?

I would expect something like ...

c:\program files\nebula\digitv-hd.exe

Just added "RestartOnRecord to 2" and it appears to have worked although I did get two DigiTV icons in the system try, 1 normal and 1 record icon, until I ran my mouse over them then the normal icon went.

Not renamed by me. I did a fresh install a few days ago!

Paul Webster

Odd.

Are you perhaps running a renamed version of the DigiTV executable?

Thanks Paul, will try that setting. DigiTV is always minimised in the system tray.

Paul Webster

Try setting RestartOnRecord to 2

Do you force DigiTV to exit or leave it running (minimised)?

Reason - DABDig should only run DigiTV for a recording if it is not already running ... and usually once it starts running then it stays running for ever.

No - it is not normal.

First - DABDig usually does not try to run DigiTV at all when requesting recording - because it is already running.

Quick check - are you choosing "Record with DABDig" .. or "Listen with DABDig" (Listen also means Watch).

If you choose Listen ... then it assumes that you want to hear/see it live ... so does run it maximised.

Please post the DigiTV part of your dabdig.ini in here - along with an example from dabdig.txt (won't say much in there).

Are you using DigiTV or DigiTV-HD?
