I use WinFast PVR to record from Sky but recently have been getting a white line across the screen (the same white line with copy protection)? The line appears at random times, usually for 3 or so seconds. Does anyone know why?!?

I don't have personal experience of the Leadtek hardware or Sky ... but

... do you see the same thing when you watch Sky live from the Leadtek Winfast h/w s/w?

... can you repeat it on channels that you would not expect any additional copy protection (e.g shopping channels)

When I watch Skyno line appears, only when I record.

I tried one of the shopping channels and about 1 hour intoi it the white line appeared.

If I want to keep the recording, I'll just have to tape it and then record off the tape, or record it on my pc twice and edit the white line out (it doesn't appear at the same time, just random)

Sounds like it is an issue with the Leadtek card/software rather than any protection on the Sky side.

Could it coincide with something happening on the PC in background?

Nothing is running in the background. It started after the dish was re-tuned. It only does it on somw channels. Sky Movies are OK though (so far) so it's not the end of the world.
